Week 2: June 23 - 27 | Virtue: Trust
This week, students explored the virtue of trust—learning to rely on God, one another, and the unique gifts God has placed within them. Each day was filled with opportunities to build confidence, foster teamwork, and discover more about God’s amazing world. We started the week with exciting basketball practice, helping students grow in coordination, discipline, and mutual trust as teammates. They also took on a hands-on engineering challenge by building and racing their very own cars on our first student-created racetrack. At the Landesmuseum, students explored the fascinating history of glass and discovered powerful examples of Christian heritage displayed throughout the museum’s exhibits. Midweek, we cooled off with a joyful outdoor water fight at school—celebrating summer with laughter, fun, and fellowship. We ended the week with an unforgettable visit to the Dinosaur Park, where students not only explored ancient history but also enjoyed time on the swings, climbing structures, slides, and other fun activities. It was a perfect blend of adventure, play, and learning in God's beautiful creation. Throughout the week, students experienced what it means to trust God in every part of life—through challenges, friendships, learning, and joyful moments. |

Week 3: June 30 – July 4 | Virtue: Cooperation
Students explored what it means to work together with love, patience, and purpose. Each day began with a morning workout to build strength and focus, followed by academic learning where students supported one another and practiced working as a team. A joyful part of the week was playing with the handmade crochet gifts from Oma Gretel, which brought smiles and a sense of connection. One of the highlights was the exciting boys versus girls marble track challenge, where both teams had just 45 minutes to create and race their designs. The energy, laughter, and teamwork made it a memorable experience. Later in the week, the entire group came together to build the ultimate marble track, combining their talents and ideas in a powerful example of unity. The week also included arts and crafts, where students created beautiful Pharaoh necklaces while learning about history and expressing their creativity side by side. Through every activity, our students grew in their understanding of cooperation—realizing that when we work together in Christ-centered harmony, we can accomplish so much more than we could alone. |

Week 4: July 7 to 11 | Virtue: Creativity
This week, students embraced the gift of creativity—learning to express themselves, solve problems, and work together with joy and purpose. We were blessed with a visit from Oma Gretel, who brought more handmade crochet animals that inspired imaginative play and gratitude. With the help of our volunteer Anton, students began building a large racing track and designed their own cars, combining teamwork with hands-on creativity. They also created colorful Egyptian king’s hats for Vacation Bible School, connecting art with history and faith. We ended the week with a joyful bubble playtime, filling the schoolyard with laughter and wonder. From crafts to construction to outdoor fun, our students reflected the heart of a Creator who delights in beauty, joy, and imagination. |

Week 5: July 14 to 18 | Virtue: Courage
This week focused on the virtue of courage—stepping out in faith, welcoming new experiences, and trusting God in every challenge. Our students showed bravery not only in learning new skills but also in embracing new friendships as we welcomed Cole and Ryland to our camp family. Students continued improving their race cars and track, showing persistence and boldness in testing their designs. They also took on a new challenge--building a robotic car, which sparked excitement and teamwork as they learned to problem-solve through trial and error. Using air-dried dough, students creatively shaped miniature wells, and later in the week, enjoyed a peaceful time picking sunflowers. The children also made crosses, reflecting on Christ as our ultimate source of strength and courage. We explored science at Experimenta with our new campers and revisited the Dinosaur Museum and Dino Park, giving everyone a chance to learn, play, and grow in courage together. Every activity reminded us that courage isn’t just about being brave in big moments—but about trusting God, trying again, and standing strong together. |

Week 6: July 21 to 25 | Virtue: Responsibility
This week at CLA Summer Camp, students focused on the virtue of responsibility, learning how to care for what God has given them, take initiative, and follow through with their commitments in both small and big ways. The week began with a meaningful moment as Oma Gretel visited once again, this time offering a hands-on crochet lesson. Students learned the value of patience, careful attention, and completing a task with care. That sense of responsibility continued as the children worked together to build a robot car controlled by phone, combining creativity and technical skill in a fun and challenging project. Another exciting milestone was the introduction of Minecraft Education, where students learned to collaborate, build, and solve problems in a shared virtual space. Each child also took responsibility for crafting and designing their own unique car, putting their planning and creative skills into practice. Midweek brought joyful celebration as we honored Maximus’s birthday with a special outing on the Lego Bus. It was a wonderful time of fun, fellowship, and thankfulness. To close out the week, students gathered to break open a Minecraft block piñata, ending on a note of laughter, celebration, and creativity. Through every moment, our students discovered that true responsibility is not just about following rules—it’s about being faithful with the gifts God has entrusted to us and using them to serve, build, and bless. |

We were excited to have Ms. Jane in the CLA community, bringing fresh energy, encouragement, and support as the students tackled this week’s hands-on projects. One major highlight was building a model train station, where students applied teamwork, creativity, and focus to bring their ideas to life. The spirit of determination was also evident as students participated in transforming a new learning space for our future Kindergarten class, showing care, cooperation, and a strong work ethic in preparing something special for younger learners. The week wrapped up with a deep sense of accomplishment and joy. Every student could look back and celebrate a week well spent—filled with growth, grit, and God’s grace. |

Week 8: August 4 to 8 | Theme: Egypt — Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace
This special Vacation Bible School week was a joyful partnership with International Baptist Church Stuttgart, and it was a privilege to join IBCS for this unforgettable part of our Summer Camp. Our students learned from the inspiring story of Joseph—how God’s faithfulness carried him from prison to palace—and how His plans are always good, even in challenging times. Each day was filled with exciting games and creative arts and crafts, all tied to the Egypt theme. Our CLAS kids loved every moment, especially in the games hall, where energy, laughter, and friendly competition filled the room. A highlight was seeing our staff member Danial lead the games for over 180 children, keeping the fun organized and engaging while showing servant leadership in action. It was a week of learning, joy, and community, where students practiced teamwork, listened carefully, and participated with full hearts. To celebrate a successful week, we ended with a sunny pool day, enjoying God’s creation and the friendships formed throughout our time together. Through it all, students not only enjoyed the activities but also took to heart the message that God is always at work—turning even the hardest moments into something good. |
