CLAS Student Government

CLAS student government exists to serve as the voice of CLAS students and act as liaison between the school and its students. The CLAS Student government supports the mission and vision of CLAS through various activities aimed at improving students’ learning experience.  The student government helps plan student activities including social gatherings and service opportunities.  Students may also bring concerns or requests pertaining to school life to the faculty and administration through the student government.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Student Government at CLAS is to assist in fostering a positive Christ-honoring tone within the student body using the Biblical model of “love the Lord your God with all your heart,” and “love your neighbor as yourself,” to develop a student community of God first, others second, self third.

Purpose Statement
The Student Government at CLAS  exists:
• To provide an opportunity for student leadership abilities to be identified, developed, and utilized.
• For students to participate in the democratic process and to understand each individual’s privilege and responsibility.
• To provide an organized vehicle for the student body to influence and help shape the CLAS community.
• To provide an accountable group of student leaders for the purpose of facilitating student activities, social events, and outreach opportunities.

General Responsibilities:
• Officers meet with the Principal each Tuesday during lunch.
• Plan and execute social activities and events for students.
