Favorite Bible Verse: I have two favorite Bible versus and one that aligns as a music teacher and another that has recently aligned with my daily life. Matthew 6:27, 34 “Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” Psalm 71:23 “My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you.” My Philosophy of Education I believe every student is uniquely created with God-given strengths and creative potential, and it is a privilege to guide them as they discover and develop those gifts through music. As an educator, my goal is to cultivate a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to explore their abilities, take risks, and express themselves with joy and purpose. With a background in violin performance and orchestral leadership, I emphasize the importance of building strong technical foundations while nurturing musical expression. I seek to help students understand not only how to play their instruments with skill, but also how to engage with the deeper elements of music—such as phrasing, listening, collaboration, and awareness of others—that bring music to life and foster meaningful ensemble experiences. I value building strong relationships with my students by celebrating their progress, supporting them through challenges, and encouraging steady growth in confidence. My desire is for students to experience the joy of music, develop skills they can carry forward, and grow both musically and personally as they learn discipline, teamwork, and self-expression through the arts. |
